Push notifications aren't arriving

Check notification permission

Open Android Settings → Notifications → App notifications → Markov and make sure notifications are allowed. On some phones the same control appears under Settings → Apps → Markov → Notifications.

Check the common blockers

  1. Confirm you are still signed in to the Markov app.
  2. Turn off battery optimisation for Markov if your phone routinely puts background apps to sleep.
  3. Check that Data Saver, Focus mode, or Do Not Disturb is not suppressing Markov alerts.
  4. Allow background mobile data and Wi-Fi access for Markov.
  5. Install the latest version from Google Play, then restart the app.

Phone manufacturers label battery and background-data settings differently. Search the Settings app for “battery optimisation” if the menu is not in the location above.

Treat the feed as the source of truth

A notification is only a delivery alert. Always open the app and check the recommendation's publication time and current status before deciding whether to act. Do not rely on a lock-screen preview as a current recommendation.

If alerts still fail, email support@markov.in with the phone model, Android version, app version, and the approximate time of a missed notification. Never include an OTP or account password.
